Electronics
Covidien (Nellcor) Pulse Oximetry Module
RBC developed the electronics and significant portions of the software behind this optical module for use in various patient monitoring systems for accurate measurement of arterial oxygen saturation. RBC software engineers were also heavily involved in the programming and testing of this innovative module.
KCBioMedix™NTrainer System®
This system promotes early development of
essential feeding skills in premature infants, important for faster
transitions to oral feeding and more rapid weight gain. RBC industrial
designers, electronics, mechanical and systems engineers helped bring
this important product to market.

Covidien (Nellcor) N595 Pulse Oximeter
RBC Project Management and
Systems Engineering orchestrated this project, while RBC software
engineers assisted the project team in incorporating complex algorithms
for overcoming the challenges of effective monitoring during patient
motion and low perfusion. Electronics engineers from RBC Medical
Innovations were also involved in the development of this standalone
system for the measurement of patient heart rate and arterial oxygen
saturation. This is an excellent example of how RBC can augment internal
teams when they need it most. |
Bioform Medical (ACI Medical) GFX Radiofrequency Generator
RBC
engineers with expertise in electronics, software, mechanical, systems
and industrial design designed and developed this minimally invasive RF
energy generator for facial nerve ablation in the treatment of globellar
furrow. As part of the system, RBC also developed a sterile, disposable
handheld probe. |

GE Healthcare (Versamed)
Ventilator
RBC mechanical engineers contributed to mechanical and
electronics updates of this intensive care-grade ventilator for use in
hospitals for acute and sub-acute care, as well as in emergency
transport and in the home. |
Covidien (VNUS Medical) RFG PLUS™ Radiofrequency Monitor
Quickly
delivers RF energy to a catheter, enabling controlled vein lumen
contraction for fast and effective treatment. RBC electronic, software,
mechanical, systems and industrial engineers were involved in the
development of this product which has been recognized for its simple and
intuitive user interface. |
